2018 COMPETITION DETAILS
The Pantry Book Club of Louisburgh, in association with Books@One, is pleased to announce the launch of the second annual short story competition for pupils of Coláiste Sancta Maria, Louisburgh.
Topic: The competition is open to short stories on any topic, where the entry must be the person's original work.
Suggested length: Between 1000 and 2000 words
Format: Hand written, typed and printed, or submitted by e-mail in electronic format.
Limited to: Pupils of Coláiste Sancta Maria in Transition, 5th and 6th year
Prizes: First prize: Book token for €100. Second prize: Book token for €50.
Third prize: Book token for €25.
Publication: Subject to permission of the authors, it is intended to print the winning and highly commended entries in book form on the Books@One Espresso Book Machine. Copies will be awarded to the selected authors and the book will be made available for sale in Books@One (sale proceeds to the Books@One community project).
 Launch in school: Monday, September 24th
 Closing date for receipt of entries: November 30th, 2018. Handwritten or printed entries should be delivered to Books@One in a sealed envelope, indicating clearly the author's name and address. Submissions by e-mail should be sent to The Pantry Book Club Secretary (firstname.lastname@example.org). No late entries will be accepted.
 Awards will be made at an event to be held on a date to be arranged between December 10th-14th, 2018
