Poetry Reading Friday 10th March 2023

Join us on Friday 10th March 2023 at 7pm for a poetry reading with brothers Daryl and Cormac Noonan, co-founders of Wolf Academy.

Former IT consultant , Cormac started writing poetry back in 2015 as a way for his soul to escape the office. When his physical body eventually decided to follow, Cormac was led on an inward journey as it helped him reconnect with who he really was.

On his return to Ireland Cormac co-founded Wolf Academy with his brother Daryl. Their mission is to reach young people across Ireland , sharing their personal stories and tools that helped them overcome their own challenges.

The team at Wolf Academy, along with 15 other contributors , including a local Louisburgh woman, created a book of poems in 2021 to share snippets from their own personal journeys.

This is a free event and refreshments will be served.

Readings At The Bookshop 2022

On Friday 9th December the children from sixth class, Louisburgh National School met Ellen Ryan, award winning author of “Girls Who Slay Monsters”.

Following an introduction to Irish Goddesses, Ellen entertained everybody with the story of “ClIdna, Chief Wave of Ireland”.

This was followed by a fun quiz where the children were encouraged to discover “Which Goddess are you?” Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors, we rounded off the day with a donation of “Girls Who Slay Monsters” to the school library and a free raffle for a signed copy of the book for one lucky student.
